- NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Shares of Zions Bancorp Inc. were up about 15% on Monday morning after the bank said it plans to swap about $140 million of preferred shares for up to 7 million common shares. Dow Jones Newswires reported that the offer, while nearly a 50% discount to face value, is close to a 25% premium to where the preferred shares were trading on Friday.
