- SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Technology stocks posted gains across the board early Monday as the broader market also advanced. The Nasdaq Composite Index added 1.2% at the opening bell, rising to 2,172. The Morgan Stanley High Tech 35 Index was also up 1.2%, while the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index gained 1.5%. Gains came from major players, including Hewlett-Packard , Google Inc. and Amazon.com . The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up more than 100 points. At MarketWatch
