NLC to Elect 2010 Officers and Board of Directors

SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Doris Kearns Goodwin, political author and historian, and Ed Begley Jr., actor, author and environmental activist, will address delegates tomorrow during the National League of Cities' (NLC) 2009 Congress of Cities and Exposition at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Goodwin will speak with attendees about leadership in times of crisis, while Begley will address sustainability.

During the organization's annual business meeting Saturday afternoon, the NLC delegation will also elect the 2010 president and first and second vice presidents, as well as the 40 member Board of Directors. Together, the officers and Board of Directors lead the membership in shaping NLC priorities and directing the advocacy, research and membership activities of the organization.
