Video game publisher Activision Blizzard (ATVI 11.56) said Friday that its blockbuster title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, has surpassed $3 billion in retail sales worldwide. "Call Of Duty has become one of the greatest entertainment franchises of all time," said CEO Bobby Kotick. "If you consider the number of hours our audiences are engaged in playing Call of Duty games, it is likely to be one of the most viewed of all entertainment experiences in modern history." Activision said the Call of Duty franchise has sold more than 55 million units worldwide. Shares of ATVI are 33.8% higher year-to-date.
