Kohl's beats by $0.02, beats on revs; guides Q4 EPS below consensus Reports Q3 (Oct) earnings of $0.63 per share,
$0.02 better than the First Call consensus of $0.61; revenues rose 6.5% year/year to $4.05 bln vs the $4 bln consensus. Co issues
downside guidance for Q4, sees EPS of $1.14-1.24 vs. $1.25 consensus. For the fourth quarter, the Company expects total sales to increase between 3 and 6 percent (we calculate this to be revs of $5.39-5.55 bln vs the $5.57 bln consensus); comparable store sales to range between negative 1 and positive 2 percent; and gross margin as a percent of sales to increase 50 to 60 bps over last year. Comparable store sales for the third quarter increased 2.4 percent.
