US Courier & Logistics expands Texas operationsOctober 26, 2009 1:07 PM ETUS Courier & Logistics opened four new facilities across Texas, including Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley. The Dallas-based company is ramping up its logistics operations in anticipation of the economy rebounding in Texas. US Courier & Logistics now operates a total of nine warehouse and distribution centers throughout the state with more than 165,000 square feet of space and more than 200 vehicles on the road. US Courier & Logistics already had operations in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, El Paso, Houston and San Antonio markets. The four new branches serve Corpus Christi, Waco, McAllen and the Tyler/Henderson areas. The company provides same-day pick up and deliver services, as well as routed and scheduled van services. “I am confident that the logistics industry is at a point of turning around and anticipate a greater demand for distribution services in Texas,” says John DiTucci, vice president of operations for the company. “We have positioned ourselves to weather the slowdown and are now poised to handle the imminent recovery.” Copyright 2009 bizjournals.com
