Solar financier SunRun Inc. has signed up another solar installer to offer its power purchase agreements in California and it's clearly no coincidence.

Nat Kreamer, interim President of Acro Energy Technologies Corp., which has acquired several installers from Houston to San Francisco, is the former president and chief operating office of SunRun. SunRun, based in San Francisco, buys solar systems from installers it contracts with and sells the power back to customers through power purchase agreements.

"I believe the partnership with SunRun is a superior one because Acro and SunRun have an alignment in how they're going to go after customers and they both have the same idea about being customer service-oriented," Kreamer said.

Kreamer said by offering SunRun's payment option, he expects an immediate jump in sales to Acro customers under contract — those who have signed contracts and put down a deposit for a solar system, but haven't taken the next step.

Acro purchased Concord-based Light Energy Systems in June.

SunRun secured a $100 million line of credit from US Bank to finance systems earlier this year and also raised $18 million in venture capital in its second round in July. It has contracts to supply financing for installations from REC Solar, Akeena Solar, Borrego Solar Systems Inc., ASE and now, Acro Energy Technologies.
