China's Haitong Securities to buy Hong Kong broker

SHANGHAI (AP) - Haitong Securities has agreed to acquire Hong Kong-based rival Taifook Securities for 1.82 billion Hong Kong dollars ($236 million) in the first such takeover by a mainland Chinese securities house, the companies said Monday. 2:05 AM ET

Hershey eyes more cash for Cadbury than Kraft: WSJ

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Hershey Trust, the charitable trust that controls Hershey Co. , is pushing the company to launch an offer for Cadbury PLC that would outbid the $17 billion from Kraft Foods Inc. , The Wall Street Journal reported in its online edition late Friday.
