Top 2 booksellers report losses, their shares fall

NEW YORK (AP) - Barnes & Noble Inc. and Borders Group Inc., the nation's two largest brick-and-mortar book sellers, both posted quarterly losses Thursday and forecast a difficult holiday season, saying competition from discount chains and online retailers is stiffening. 4:11 PM ET

Facebook creates dual-class stock structure: WSJ

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Facebook, the popular social networking site, has created a dual-class stock structure, a move that could potentially pave the way for an initial public offering, The Wall Street Journal reported in its online edition Tuesday. The company is in the process of converting all current shareholders to Class B stock, which carries more voting power than Class A stock, according to the Journal. But for now, the company has no plans for an IPO, the newspaper said. At MarketWatch 3:32 PM ET
